Very pretty design and the joinery fits it perfectly (not only in it's function, it's also great looking)!
One question though. Why are there those little round "buttons" up there in the corners? Not cool if you sit at the very end.

The buttons are for 4 dowls that act as pins to secure a piece of tempered glass. I'm not sure if the system is really necessary and I can tell you it was extremely hard to perfectly match dowls to holes in glass but with glass it is much more functional.

O yes, stupid me... I was seeing the piece as a sitting bench I'm sorry, my mistake. Of course it's nice to have glass on a table
