So I decided to redo one of the robot wars pics into digital looks now. So reintroduce, It set the bar when it came to flipper weapons and is one of the legends on Robot Wars. My fellow artist may I present Chaos 2!! This bot was the most successful pioneer of the flippers. One of the two common weapons in robot combat these days along with spinner weapons. You seen robot like Bronco from Battle Bots, but this bot here is where it all started. Chaos 2 was designed and built by George Francis from Bramford, Ipswich who was part of Robot Wars 1st Wars in 1997. He debut Chaos 2 in 1999 in the 3rd Wars and right out of the gate it amazed fans and contenders all around. George along with his friend Ian Swann and his son Richard, went on to become Robot Wars Champions. Chaos 2 was also the first to flip an opponent out of the arena which end up being an accident. In 2000 during the 4th Wars, Chaos 2 became the first back to back Champion and the only repeat champion during the 10 season run of Robot Wars. However after 18 straight wins, Chaos 2's 2 year reign ended in the 2nd round of the semi finals in the 5th wars in 2001 by another flipper bot Bigger Brother. They came back in 2002 for the 6th Wars, but where defeated in there heat final match against Dantomkia, another flipper bot who used Chaos 2's old hat trick against them by flipping them out of the arena themselves. Chaos 2's last match was a rough one in the first round of the All Stars tournament, they got thrashed by Razer and the doubled headed spinner bot 13 Black. Chaos 2 was soon repaired by George, but it never saw the warzone again. It retired in 2002. As of 2011, Chaos 2 is in George's shed in Bramford. Its days in Robot Wars may have ended, but it set the bar and now flipper weapons have become more common use. To me Chaos 2's demised started when it wasn't receiving enough modern upgrades to make it better then before and time soon caught up with George and his robot.
