I do remember hearing that George really couldn't afford to continue upgrading Chaos 2 in terms of weight, hence why it was still roughly 183-185 lbs. George made the mistake of upgrading the power to the flipper for the heavier weights, which cost more gas for usage, hence why he was beaten.

Also, fun fact about the Extreme 2 fight. Chaos 2 wasn't even suppose to be there, but Wild Thing 2 didn't show up for some reason we may never find out about. The All-Stars was reserved for only the 12 bots that made the "semi-finals."

Wow I never knew that.

The more you know. I also put the whole "semi-finals" because the UK have a different terminology. Semi-finals in America mean when there's only four left. Nowadays, we have flippers like Hydra changing the game.

So your saying he couldn't afford to upgrade Chaos 2? No wonder he fell off his game by 2002.

Exactly. The only changes for Season 6 with differently treaded tires. The shape also prevented a proper righting when low on gas, the polycarb was a lot more fragile, and the high ground clearance meant it could be easily shoved. Didn't help a majority of the competitors were now at 220 lbs, hence why the power was increased. Just look at bots like Supernova or Disc-O-Inferno. I point them out a bit more since I'm a sucker for a good spinner.

Those are a lot of good points. Why didn't he retire Chaos 2 when he had the chance?

No idea. He probably wanted to prove a point that an old machine can keep going. Sadly, a majority of the greats fell during series 6 and extreme 2. Hypno-Disc fell victim too, Dominator disappeared, no clue what happened with S3, Diotoir was gone till series 10, and Razer retired too till series 8. Personally, I think the only real ones that enjoyed success were X-Terminator, Firestorm, Tornado, Behemoth, and a few others, since they obviously weren't ready to quit yet. Unfortunately, bots like Panic Attack and King B were just at that stage where they should've retired too, in all do respect, but just wanted one more shot too.

True to that Robot Wars lost some legends in series 6. You know I just happen to found a recent pic of S3.>>>vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/ro…

Yep, it has been residing within that museum since retirement. Rumor has it if it did return for the seventh series, it would've been the 8th seed. I talked about this with a chat, and they agreed it would've been a bigger threat than Panic Attack. TAN would've struggled grabbing it, since I think S3's longer than the crusher.

I was also planning to enter a heavily revised and more modern S3 into Battlebots called Hammerhead, since they called S3 a hammerhead shark on multiple occassions during Series 5. However, I've settled with a more modern version of Black Hole called either Slasher or Shredder. Depends if Brian enters that stupid shield again or not.

Wait it sounds like your saying you actually compete in robot combat yourself.

I don't... yet, but I do know my stuff and have been designing a couple parts and weapon designs. After all, my major in college is precision machining. Kind of the root for getting the parts out.

Nice! Maybe one day you'll be on Battlebots.

I do hope so. If you ever do see either Hammerhead or Shredder/Slasher on there, you'll know who's the mastermind behind it. Just hope I can get the idea in before someone does it first.

Nice! So anyways back to the legends. You know the robot from the original series that was still competing was Behemoth. Man that bot these days was just impossible to flip on its side. It kept coming back.

IceandFireGuy In reply to MJLegacy [2020-01-18 07:29:05 +0000 UTC]

To this day, it's still the only robot that has competed in more series than anyone else. Debuting all the way back since series 2. Ironically enough, SubZero, a bot from Pennsylvania, also took the whole side arm self-righting strategy when it was a heavyweight in 2016 and 2018, before its complete rebuild again.

Yeah I read and 25 episodes that had Behemoth in it.

Yet, they only reached the finals only twice. There have been some bad heats and unfortunate luck on their side at points.

Does kind of spare us from what atrocities could spawn from the minds of the British though. Need I hint at Bucky? I know it's a show, but when people just joke, it's not cool. Plus, two hours to repair everything is impossible to do for these teams with the spinner power nowadays.

Yeah and the fact they didn't even have a single American entry didn't made it better.

IceandFireGuy In reply to MJLegacy [2020-01-18 07:49:06 +0000 UTC]

Well, they did for the UK V World special, but let's be realistic... they legit pick the worst bots from around the world to "represent" their countries. I could literally organize it better than them if I were there. I mean, let me recap... we had the American Prometheus, Manta who was good, Drillzilla, Spartacus, Flippa, and Cathadh. Manta and Drillzilla were the only good bots from America that fought in specials. Everyone else... pretty much brought in to make us look bad.

I agree Drillzilla was awesome and to me the best walking robot I've seen. There armor was so strong too not even Razer would get through it.

Truth be told, it was actually Dreadbot here at Battlebots back in 2000, and competed till 2002, the end of Comedy Central's era. Extreme Warriors came out in 2001, around the time Dreadbot became the shuffler.
