In Robot Wars, axe weapons aren't very affective, but this one here was an exception. Meet the one and only Dominator 2! By far one of Robot Wars best axe bots, Dominator 2 has made a fantastic run from 2000 to 2003. It was a wedged double-V shaped robot with a strong aircraft-grade aluminum axe powered by a 150PSI pneumatic ram producing 1.5 tones of pressure from an acceleration linkage and 20 mph top speed propelled by two industrial 1HP motors. The axe was powerful enough to pierce most robots' shells and doubled as a self-righting mechanism with the spikes on the sides. However, the nature of the axe meant that the target needed to be directly in front of the robot for it to be effective. The robot was armored with 1.8mm plasma nitride coated titanium. The original Dominator competed in the Pinball Competition of The Third Wars where they came home 2nd before they brought out there new one for The Fourth Wars. From there Dominator 2 did what it came to do, dominate! In 3 seasons it made the semi finals each year and won 18 matches, but kept coming up short of making the grand final in each semi final round 2 matches. They beaten the likes of 101, Firestorm, Wheely Big Cheese and Bigger Brother. Its most famous moments include its record-setting quick immobilization after it KO'd Henry 2 in 2 seconds in its debut fight. It retired after series 6. Today no one knows where Dominator 2 was stored all I know is that the team had a Dominator 3 that never got to fight and is currently housed at Dover Technical college in a safe condition. It still runs and was fully functional although the batteries weren’t great and it would benefit with some tinkering according to team captain Peter Halloway back in 2020.

It had a great record in a very short time.
