This is part of an art trade with my friend Rachel [link] who wanted to be drawn with an alien symbiote attached to her like one of her favorite Marvel villains Carnage.I decided to go for a mid-transformation look so that I could show both her face and the symbiote. I also decided to go with her other favorite colors for the symbiote since making it red and black would have clashed with her red hair and Carnage. I also decided to give her symbiote tendrils on the head to resemble hair since it would add to the feminine look of it overall and also give it more of a wild appearance.
As an afterthought I decided to add in Carnage/Cletus Cassidy in mid transformation as well since I've wanted to draw something with the character for a while and this seemed like a perfect opportunity to do it.

I never thought about it as a kid but now that I go back and look at the cartoons a grew up with so many of them had anime styles or gimmicks mixed with American styles it was crazy. Like how in the one episode of Batman: The Animated Series Robin does the Akira motorcycle power slide frame for frame in the two-part episode Robin's Reckoning.

I think it was on tumblr someone posted a gif of every cartoon that did the Akira motorcycle slide and it was a crazy amount
It's why I wish they would go back to that style. Like I was so excited when I heard there was going to be a new Thundercats cartoon because the original was just animated beautifully and this latest one was like a shitty cartoony flash animation style.

I saw clips of it and it was like they turned it into the Amazing World of Gumball or Teen Titans Go. Just random silly shit instead of epic story telling and action.

I like Gumball too and your right it was more like Teen Titans Go but the animation style of Thundercats Roar was like Gumball, very exaggerated, comical and web cartoon style.
I love a good parody cartoon like Space Ghost Coast to Coast or Sealab 2021 or Harvey Birdman: Attorney At Law but the main difference is they kept the same animation styles as the originals. It wasn't a totally different style so whatever they planned on doing to make Thundercats Roar a decent parody fails because of this.

You have to admit in that serious an anime style seeing the Thundercats act like assholes would be a million times funnier had they gone that route.

One of the few things I liked about Teen Titans cartoon was her revamp. In the original comics it was kind of like they made her more like a hippie/mystic type since Goth wasn't a well known thing back then
