Description

Dave is a native Californian who is obsessed with aliens and UFOs (Unidentified Flying Objects) who strongly believes that the aliens who fly them are our friends and Dave has spent years tracking reports of their activity on Earth.

Hearing about increased UFO activity in New Mexico Dave decides to drive there in his van which he has loaded with radio equipment he hopes to use to contact the aliens with. On his way through the San Joaquin Valley in California Dave is caught in an attack on the Valley Farms Premium Fruit Company Wind Farm by the terrorist group known as the Coyotes.

Dave decides to fight back against the criminals but is soon outmatched. Before he’s destroyed the Vigilantes swept into the farm and battled the Coyotes. John Torque second in command of the Vigilantes rescued Dave and gave him a radar dish taken from Site-4. Attaching it to his van’s equipment Dave was able to summon miniature flying saucer drones to attack his enemies.

Driving the Coyotes off John Torque asked Dave to join the Vigilantes and help them defeat the Coyotes once and for all. Dave was reluctant until John informed him the dish was from Site-4, a secret base long rumored to contain aliens and alien technology. Seeing this as proof of the aliens’ existence Dave agreed to help as long as he could go back to Site-4 once the missions were done.

Dave and John Torque then set out to Arizona and track the Coyotes to an aircraft graveyard. In the ensuing battle the Coyote Loki, a former test pilot fired from Site-4 for mental instability spotted Dave using the tiny alien crafts during the melee and became obsessed with learning the secret of how Dave accomplished this.

After the Coyotes escaped Dave questioned what the point of these seemingly endless battles were about but when he was asked to continue helping the Vigilantes he agreed to stay and traveled to Arizona/Nevada border where he helped save the Hoover Dam from the Coyotes destructive rampage.

During the fight Dave learned Loki’s affiliation with Site-4 and decided to try and track him down to question him about it and the aliens he believed were still inside the base.

Tracking Loki to the ghost town Diablo Mesa in Hunter’s Wash, New Mexico Dave was ambushed by the Coyotes and Loki who refused to give Dave any information regarding Site-4. In the melee Dave managed to defeat Loki who fled into the desert.

With the Coyotes finally defeated shortly after this Dave was unable to get on Site-4 due to their increased security. Disappointed but still determined to contact the aliens Dave spent weeks wandering around the New Mexico desert in his van sending messages into deep space with the alien dish still attached to his van’s radio equipment.

After weeks of this Dave was finally rewarded with a signal from the aliens. After establishing friendly contact with them the aliens then beamed Dave and his van aboard their mother ship and headed off into deep space.

Dave became good friends with the aliens and was last seen beating one of them in a game of checkers. After which he challenged the loser to a new game with the ownership of the space ship they were on as the prize.

For Dave’s van I used a customized 1970s era Dodge Tradesman 200 van as reference and really the hardest thing about this was getting the color scheme close to the in-game model since it’s all weird tones of rusty reddish orange, yellow cream and tan that seem to change tone in different levels so I had to get screen caps of the start screen as my color reference.

In the 1970s the world was suffering from a world wide oil shortage. The USA was heavily dependant on affordable gasoline and was on the verge of an economic breakdown. Strikes, riots and crime were running rampant and all available law enforcement was brought into metropolitan areas which left the outlands unprotected.

The Oil Monopoly Alliance Regime (OMAR), a foreign multinational oil consortium had it's sights set on monopolizing the worlds oil trade and it's biggest opponent was the USA which opposed OMAR's price fixing schemes.

Bent on forcing the USA to its knees OMAR hired terrorist Sid Burn to go to the US and commit acts of mass destruction and chaos designed to send the country's economy over the edge. Sid immediately traveled the American Southwest and formed a gang called the Coyotes and began targeting American oil refineries, alternate energy sources and terrorized and robbed small towns and settlements along the way.

With nobody to turn to for help, a ragtag group of citizens victimized by the Coyotes led by the trucker known as Convoy banded together as The Vigilantes, who quickly became a major thorn in the Coyote's collective side.

Desperate to get an edge on his enemies and looking for a way to cause more destruction, Sid Burn heard the rumors of advanced weapons based on UFO technology housed at the mysterious government installation called Site-4 located somewhere near Papoose Lake, Nevada.

Ambushing Site-4 Sid's robbery went bad when the Vigilante's unexpectedly showed up and as a result the world's most advanced weaponry found it's way into the hands of both parties.

With their normal vehicles modified into rolling engines of destruction the Coyotes and Vigilantes now wage a war across the American Southwest with the fate of the USA hanging in the balance.
