Several days ago, I got a note out of the blue from a DA user who'd seen the banner I'd created for #AmyRose-Fan-Lovers , and wanted to commission me to create a banner for a group she'd just created, #I-Hate-Recolors . As I'm guessing from the name, it's a group for people who don't like Sonic recolor fan characters.As I said before, I was commissioned to make this. This doesn't necessarily reflect my own personal opinion toward the subject. The three recolors featured in this banner were specifically requested by the user...I did not go searching for them, and have no knowledge of who first created them.
This banner was created exclusively for use by #I-Hate-Recolors . Any other use without first asking my permission is strictly prohibited.

Again, this was a commission. It does not necessarily reflect my own personal viewpoint on the issue (although if you want to know, I'm not too fond of recolors either, but can't give them too hard a time because my own character was once a recolor).

Everything thing i do iz hand drawn zinze i am really bad at digital art, I actually tried it once but it 1. looked really wierd 2. waz a pain in the neck, literally 3. I waz board when I did it zo... yeah, I actually like ur commizzion.

Here's a tip I have for you. All my drawings are done by hand as well. I scan them and then trace them digitally, not by hand but drawing a bunch of straight lines in Adobe Flash and bending them to fit. If you have a vector image editor, try that sometime.

I'll refrain from commenting on the subject at hand since I know you did this as a commission. But I thought I'd comment that you're very good at putting together clean, good looking banners.

I hate recolors too. I'm hardly the most creative artist but recoloring is pathetic. I'm not that big into Sonic any more but it is still immensely annoying. Good banner, it's good to see someone calling out recoloring "artists."

Please remember that this was done as a commission. I'm not keen on recolors either, but I stand in the middle of the issue because I realize that most recolors are done by young Sonic fans who are making their first attempt at a fan character. Besides, my first fan character was a recolor, so if I criticized them I'd be a hypocrite.
