Description
Model isThis took about an hour to prepare, and a great deal of patience on the part of the model. I started off with the initial "ripped" part and then worked outward from there; final clean-up with Q-tips and water was time-consuming, and I still had to do a bit of touch-up in photoshop.
When we finished, we discovered that Yarrow had not thought to rub release agent on her arms, so removing the plaster was a lot louder than I expected it to be.

Make sure you don't get any hairs embedded in the plaster.

Wow, says so much about sculpture there too. Finding the form inside of the material.
Great stuff.

If you smacked that, there'd be about 20 photographers waiting to kill you, including me.

"final clean-up with Q-tips" sounds like a good excuse to get up close and personal with your model........ I like that idea

ouch, I guess if you had did it on her legs then it wouldn't have been that bad and could have taken it as having them waxed.

Beautiful work. I did something similar and made the same mistake. It WAS quite painful, I agree.

Damn! What a beautiful image! All your hard work paid off - and my complements/condolences to the model - she is beautiful and seems to have suffered somewhat for her art. It's what happens, no?
Do more!!??

thats pretty cool ... initially I thoght you had desaturated the white part in Photoshop, but you did it that analog way

Wonderful image! The way the light moves over the texture and position of the hands is especially beautiful.
And poor Yarrow. Plaster hurts enough with release agents; it must have been awful without!

Yeah... I should have paid more attention to where she was rubbing the release. *ahem*
