Description
This is one of my larger paintings, but somewhat simple in it's overall design. It is made up of several layers of glue and paint. The title comes from a tradition of the Prophet Muhammad, when he mentioned one of the signs of the Day of Judgment being "you will see the naked Bedouin sheep herders competing in the construction of tall buildings." I did not actually paint this with that statement in mind, but when I heard it, it seemed to really fit the painting.Related content

This one does have a strong "desert" feel to it. My first impression was that it reminded me of Anasazi art. It's got the pueblos and the Anasazi pottery "swirls" motif.
