all hasbro just did to make friendship games was take the first mlp:eg,captain America:civil war,and iron man 3 story line,add a few unknown white Canada people,make Tara stong give the worst performance of her career and poof they made many bronies f*cking happy

I dunno why, but I think they gone too far with these movies.

I mean there are a few overused cliches(all THREE movies).

The first movie had a few cliches from Garfield Gets RealΒ (remember the scene where Hale and Hardy try to kill Garfield and Odie with fire? That and the logic change.)and Sweetie Belle seemed to have stolen a dance move from (compare that scene with the Lucky Star intro).
I'm not sure IF the Garfield thing is true, but the Sweetie Belle dance thing is.

The Movie was pretty good, the villian was pretty new to me and giving me the heebie-the-jeebies!! and the Shadowbolts are cool, awesome & funny.... but they could've fight against midnight sparkle (which her transformation and backstory was resonable.) and plus, i got a tear when sunset yelled at EG Twilight.... The Movie's still okay...
But to be fair with you on you side, I'll agree with ya, Principal Cinch was... I mean maybe it were Principal Harshwinny then that would be something...

I can agree with you on the fact that Principal Cinch was a bland villain. Plus i really would've liked it a lot more if the Crystal 5 got more screen time and character development, plus i really like their designs and personalities because i can sense a lot of potential with these kinds of characters and it sucks seeing them getting the shaft like that in the end. T_TΒ

I know it was written by John Haber, but the Equestria Girls film franchise was the idea of Meghan McCarthy. It says creator, not writer.

i liked the music (stupid villain song won't leave my HEAD!) and the ending was the best. not only because of another great magic "duel" (is that the right word for one or two blows?) and the way it was betrayed. it was a total 360 for Sunset's character, showing what she knew from her own mistakes and showing another person the right way and showing her true friendship. amazing work as always, MLP. another reason i watch you.
