Hilda is one of my favorite cartoons of all time and that is no exaggeration. It has beautiful animation, an interesting story, and lovable characters among many other incredibly well done elements. It is just one of the most charming cartoons I have ever seen with the main character being one of my all time favorites. It is just a world that you would want to live in because of how nice and cozy its atmosphere is despite the creatures it contains. It has an an air of nostalgia about it which I don't get since the show just came out. I guess that just goes to show how good the writing is. Even though the show does have some overarching stories that are well done in their own right every single episode seems to have a story that is unique while being very creative and interesting. One of the most interesting things about this show I haven't talked about yet would be the creatures. There are plenty of creatures with fantastic designs and interesting lore which make the world that this show inhabits feeling a lot more expansive. Some of my favorites include The Wood Man, Alfur and the elves, Twig the deerfox, The Great Raven, The Marra, The Trolls, The Lindworm, The House In The Woods, The Nisse, The Weather Spirits, Jorgen and the giants, and the Black Hound among many others. No wonder they have an app game which is about collecting these creatures. They deserve the attention. Even though this is stating the obvious at this point, I think that this is an amazing cartoon. If you are a fan of animation I would say it is a much watch no matter what kind of cartoons you are into. It has something for everyone to enjoy of any age or background. Give it a shot. You will be glad that you did.
