The fact that Pearl uses indoctrination techniques to teach a small child who already believes she is unimportant to throw her life away and act as a human shield to her best friend because she happens to project onto her and see her own self doubt in Connie is a HUGE con for me. It would be forgivable if Pearl at least apologized, but no, Steven actually apologizes to HER for interupting the training where Connie was learning to die for him. Unacceptable. Still a fantastic episode though!

This episode is the opposite of unforgivable. Instead of being so bad, I'll never like it, it's so amazing, I'll never hate it. It's just that good.

I have a con: It's slightly predictable at the start. once the plot kicked in i said: gee i wonder if connie will go too far and steven have a problem with it. not a real problem, if something gets that reaction, then it's not "amazing", just "Great".

like i said, when she takes up sword fighting, based on steven's reactiolns, you know she'sw gonna go far and he won't like it. i'm pretty sure they even did this before. it's not a /real/ problem, since everything else is great but compared to other episodes, it's not my favorite
