Metasequoia, which is the modelling program a lot of MMD users use when they make original parts or full models along with another program called "Blender".. Though if you're wanting to get into the modelling, you may wanna try out both. I know Metasequoia was waaay easier to understand for me.

Well, Partially. Metasequoia 4 recently came out and I haven't seen any public serials for that yet, but you download any 3.x version and find a serial on the internet, or you can download any 3.x version and the 3.x limited english version and use the 3.x version in english to model and then export in the limited english version to .x then you rig it in PMX/PMDEditor and make it animate-ready.
There are also "shareware" versions of metasequoia, but I like the second thing I said best.

Eh.. Yeah. The shareware (They're labeled) and Limited english ones are free. They all have free trials, too.

www.metaseq.net/metaseq/metaseβ¦
but in order to export to .x you have to use the limited english after saving in the 3.16 because it wont allow you to export models in it when you're unregistered, but like Β i said if you look up a serial number for it you can use that
limited english ver -Β www.metaseq.net/metaseq/metaseβ¦
