Description
I did it! I did it! Yay!Thanks for all the advice everyone, it really helped out ^_^.

How I did it:
I filled my sink with water, then I turned on the faucet just enough so that it dripped every few seconds. Then, I sat there holding my camera next to the water and focused on where the drops were landing. When each drop fell, I would press the shutter, hoping to capture the perfect splash. It took me a while, and I went through so many failed shots to get a successful one! It's all about timing. Just gotta keep trying and trying. Digital cameras help too.
go try it now!

I hope you live alone. I was wondering what would happen at my home if I tried to take such a photo... I'm already seeing my mother "you've been there for five hours taking photographs of the sink! Now let me wash the dishes!!!"
Superb photo! One of the best I've seen lately. Will make an excellent background on a PC anywhere.

Perfect timing!!!! I also love how one side of the pic is so much darker than the other, it seems to give it more of a real feeling (if that makes any sense).

Patience really does pay off The metal finish in the background coupled with the steely blue colours really makes this picture cold - a VERY nice effect that couples with the frozen image - nicely done~

Damn. Just damn.
WHat strikes me amazing isnt as much the content of the photo, but how FLAWLESSLY you performed it. The pic is CRYSTAL clear. Perfectly sharp, not a hint of motion blur. It's THESE kinds of results that you cant get with a digital camera. Or if you do, that's one HELL of an expensive digicam. [this IS film, right?]
Whats even greater is that it's not centered. The droplet is off to the left which makes it insanely more interesting. The scratches, too. The scratches in the metal[?] adds the needed detail to even out the peice's structure. Color, is perfect. Monocromatic, the way to go with phtoography.
This is he kind of stuff that Graphic Designers LOVE to see. 'Specially a company like Dolby or THX. Water, for them, represents clean sound.
Only one complaint: heheh, I wish there was a larger version.
Keep up the good work!

This really is a great shot! Just at the nick of time. I have such a 'thing' for water drops. They are sooo interesting. Love the colours and the overall effect the way it fades into the darkness on the one side.
