I totally ship these two. Pity a cat ruined their relationship.

The two were choking up the hotline to begin with.

I remember seeing a ton of fanarts of them online before I know that that episode even existed lol

They were a pretty popular ship. And sometimes I can't help but see it as a relationship between a smart oval and a smart rectangle.

I was completely drowned by all the ppg/rrb lol but I'm aware of their popularity. Sort of makes you wish they didn't make an episode about them, I imagine their future interactions after the breakup must have been awkward

I accidentally all of this comment...

Actually the few times they've interacted after were very well behaved. I like to think they realised the follie of their behavior. Their episode was pretty much them choking the hotline for sweet nothings while Townsville gets trashed and Miss Keane ended it because the Professor doesn't like cats due to a traumatizing experiance with one. (The episode he was brainwashed by a cat)

As for PPG+RRB shipping... I'm not against it but I'm not entirely for it. The RowdyRuff Boys are my fave villains, I kinda like "evil doppelgΓ€nger" and "anti-version" trope, the idea of a hero fighting a villain that is as powerful as them and thinks like them.

But my problem with the RowdyRuff Boys is that they're just "boys are gross" versions of the PowerPuff Girls and that's about it. Theres no real character development in them than just the desire to be bad due to a chaotic-evil nature or something. I would really like the boys to have more character arc and allow fans and shippers to have more reason and decision whenever they're the soulmates of the PPGs or not.

For exmaple...

What if Boomer is actually the nicest of the lot who only commits crime and does bad things because he feels pressured by his brothers to do so? This is also why he may seem like the dumbest of the lot because his brothers regard him as dumb (being the youngest of four, I can sorta relate to that experiance), but perhaps can be as smart and creative as his PPG counterpart is. I can imagine like Bubbles he is very affectionate towards animals, but prefers exotic and dangerous animals such as large spiders, scorpions, crocodiles and snakes that he thinks are just misunderstood for not being cute and cuddly.

For someone who is perhaps the most destructive of the brothers, what if he has a passion for engines? Kinda redunt for someone who moves so fast but still interested in the inner-workings of villain machines, nascars and trucks facinate him. Behind his brothers back he read books on how cars and engine works, read mechanics manuals and in his hobby can be fixing up villains vehicles while black metal and punk rockl music blares from his radio. His brothers see him as a one-track, hyped-up brawler and rather keep the fact he stole library books to read instead of destroyed behind his brothers back.

In the show he often hazes his brothers which I think his way of being masculine and to be a dominant leader. But given their life of villainy his role as team leader and brother maybe tested when he has to put his brothers first before the need of his own. Perhaps deep down he appreciates and loves his brothers more than he wants to let on and he knows that being a good brother will conflict with his interest to be a bad guy.

These are just examples. In the cartoon all they really do is just be destructive "for the sake of evil" and bully the PowerPuff Girls only to be destroyed by figurative-emasculation or innuendo. They don't really develop as characters other than being counterparts. Even the episode "Bubble Boy" doesn't really do much with them as a concept.

They are well-functioned adults after all, I don't think they'd hold grudges or make things uncomfortable lol

Yeah I agree with you regarding the RRB, I'm not a fan of the shipping them as much as I used to anymore, I realized how incredibly problematic they were, but still, I'm glad that it exist though. Recently I got back to liking the ships again because of a fanfic lol I think it just depends on how they are written, I like them when they're still evil, heard of More Than Human? it spawned a ton of fanarts.Β

((Accidentally replied to the wrong comment.))

I don't mind if the RowdyRuff Boys are inheritly evil, just the PowerPuff Girls are more than just inheritly good. And if the show really does end up shipping them (which they sort of do in "Clipsville") then either one trio turns allignment or, like in Clipsville, grow out of being heroes and villains and just be stereotypical, borning teens oblivious to the destruction around them.

And if the RowdyRuff Boys won't give up their evil ways, what if the PowerPunk Girls become canon? I'd be interested to see the chemistry between the RowdyRyff Boys and PowerPunk Girls.

I also like how Xierra099 depicts the PowerPuff Teens as balancing PowerPuff Girls and regular teenagers

That's just the fun thing about shipping them (as long as they're written beautifully) I've pretty much adopted how MTH perceives them, especially with the author portrayals of the Blues

I'd love to script my own PowerPuff Girls episodes.

Heck I once written out ideas of the PPGs going to The City of Viletown where the PowerPunk Girls live. They meet Jomo Momo who introduce them to "Father", who looks like a cross between God and Capricorn (this the anti-HIM) Father asks the girls to teach the "RowdyRight Boys" how to be better heroes.

The RowdyRight Boys are gentlemen but even the girls find them too much of softies. They're stereotypically gentlemen just as the RowdyRuff Boys are sterotypically horrible. I just like the idea that regardless which versions they are the girls still put off by them which in turn makes their relations and perspective on the RRBs more deeper.
