Description
The emerald moon, the shadowhawk, the blood!I had a lonely scrap of watercolor paper, so now you have a young Rieuk Mordiern (from "Tracing the Shadow" by Sarah Ash). He looks a bit different from the initial character design I did for him back in 2010 but HEY, people change!

GHASP! More awesome updates. I almost feel like you're back among us now, even if I check my updates so rarely.

That's alright. I don't post here quite so often. Most of my WIPs and sketches go straight to tumblr now, and only finished work is posted here. x.x

*eeeek* The blood indeed But yeah, it's pretty cool - I like the bird where you placed it, despite aforementioned blood XD

In the novel, the bird design is carved into the chest of a magus in a rather painful ritual which ties a living magus to these aethyrial beings called shadowhawks. Hence all the blood XD

*grch* I wonder if I wanted to know that - but I assume I was asking for it
Cool idea though - and I like what you made of it - nice colours and I really love the moon behind his head
