Prinori (from "princess" + "nori", an edible seaweed)
The Sea Grass Pokemon
Type: Grass/Water (Sea form) or Grass (Land form)

Explanation: Now extinct, Prinori used to live in the ancient tropical seas. The leaves shed from their head were collected by humans for food. In times of drought or when in danger, Prinori would change into a form suited for land. Eventually, when the Ice Age came all sea form Prinori went extinct. The land form Prinori survived in the forests and eventually lost their ability to return to the sea. They came to be covered with vines in order to avoid detection by humans, naturally evolving into modern day Tangela. Even today, the pearls from their heads are valued by both fossil collectors and jewelers.
