A fantastic weapon, piratical and nicely designed.
If I were a space marine or futurist Commando this would be me first choice.

What a beast of a gun! I love it! A rifleman-grenadier's weapon and a SAW all in one.
One of the best parts is, knowing how Escean firearms work, you could modify the firecontrol chip on the underslung shotgun so that it'd deliver double-barrel doubletaps.
The gun also gives me nice "Aliens" Pulse Rifle vibes, while actually being a pulse rifle, and while not actually looking anything at all too similar to the movie rifle.

Thanks very much
When I did this one originally I wanted the fore-end to bear similarity to the M41A, so I gave it the big underslung shotgun. I was never too happy with the result, though. Aesthetically it felt out of place and too clunky. So I decided to streamline it and put it on a diet. A quick read up on the MAUL and I solved the shotgun issue as well, and a better way to keep the slider while increasing capacity and ease of reloading.
I was going to give my Ravens the Mod 2 KASPR for the latter part of the story, but I wanted them to have something unique and bigger with a lot of individual firepower. Plus, as you say, the pulse rifle aspect allows simple changes to the fire control chip to change ROF etc. Plus, the shotgun can load up fragmentation rounds to act like a little grenade launcher
Function first and then aesthetics for me these days. Works a lot better for me now

A cleverly made functional form is often tesults in the most aesthetically pleasing shapes anyhow.

With this, I wish you luck. Take it from someone going through a revision phase now, it's a pain in the ass but a delight at the same time.

Indeed. My ideas have gone through a very long process of revamping since I first started posting. When I did the K-45PR for example, there were no aliens in my story, or anything past Mars. Now as I improve my techniques and freshen my ideas up with the new influx of information, I find myself enjoying it very much.
Still gonna be a pain in the ass to redo the K-PDW without losing its centrepiece, though.

Thank you. What does "electrical initiation" mean?

IE means it uses an electrical pulse to fire the round instead of a mechanical striker.

12 gauge shells are big, like short and fat.The tube housing area, to me, looks about half the correct size for the enormousness of a 12 gauge, secondly the coffin style magazine sounds reasonable, however i'm not sure exactly how big it is, the magazine. The round sounds massive unless it's very long and thin. These are partly opinion and fact.

My dimensions are probably off for the most part and given the caseless nature of the ammunition it could probably be cut down in size. As for the coffin mag. It's about a 1/3 to 1/2 the width of the rifle again on either side it protrudes, with the rounds loaded horizontally.
