Sleek and cool. Β My one problem with the design is the use of sabot ammunition, as it would create extra debris, with this debris flying out at dangerously high velocity. Β I recommend switching to bottlenecked ammunition. Β You still maintain the original muzzle velocity and you no longer have to worry about high velocity debris. Β The only problem you might have is that switching out ammunition types would mean switching the upper reciever/barrel

Uses caseless ammunition, though. The sabot was to boost the velocity of what is a pretty short bullet without the need for an ejection port. The most likely target of someone using this weapon is another Kelit, who have thicker and tougher skin than a human. Therefore at close range, even if the bullet goes through the target, the sabot fragments would cause additional damage, like a smaller shotgun blast, to incapacitate or kill.Β

Does it fire proyectile based ammo or energy based
In my story, a young scientist is actually the pionner of them. Hes an engineer, and uses several rail gun based weapons, like a Hk416 thst fires complete titanium 5.56 rail ammo, 2 mauser m712 thst fires 4.6 rail ammo, a USP 9 Tac that uses 9mm rail ammo
