So I wanted to draw something for Easter, but it just didn't seem right to ignore the fact that Easter exists because Christ died on the cross for us. So I decided to do a two part thing. I hope I can finish the second picture though I know this is Aslan, but Aslan is basically Christ anyways and I can't draw decent people. I'm really proud of the way this turned out, and apparently my scanner decided to give me a break because the scanned image is almost identical to the original.
Also, I know the picture is kind of diagonal. It's supposed to be.

I used a LOT of references for this because I didn't want this picture turning out horrible. Two pictures I referenced from the most are [link] (for color) and [link] (pose). I also rewatched all the scenes in the Narnia movie with Aslan in it just to get a sense of His regalness and to try and copy the pain and sadness in His eyes during the Stone Table scene.

I guess this really has no purpose but as a tribute to God. This week I've tried to pay more attention to the suffering Jesus Christ had to endure during His crucifixtion, and it was not easy. I can only pray that I am at least a quarter as brave as He was...

If you think about it, Jesus is the only figure to have so significantly changed the history of the world. There are numerous holidays surrounding His life, the time period was changed from B.C. to A.D., and millions of people still follow a religion made because of Him thousands of years ago... How can something as amazing as this be fake? So many people are affected by it! I can't even imagine a life without my God...
