Description A biggee....she's stands about 20 inches. Sculpted from Fimo. This was one I actually did last year when I attended the Wendy Froud workshop...I finally got around to dressing her. Her wings are made of organza and she is posable. It was a fun class & I highly recommend it if you have a few days to spare. The most interesting thing to me was that I got to throw away my techniques for those 3 days and just did it as instructed...very different way for me and it was a great experience. Met some very interesting people too.

I'm going to go see an advisor today about finishing my degree. I'm both scared and excited.

Ah...I read about your lovely experience at the college. Do you really need a degree to do artwork though?(...just thinkin' out loud.)

it's really not about the degree, it's more about the type of art classes I can take. The school does have some really good courses actually. I don't know, it's something that I'm still thinking about.

She's gorgeous and wonderfully detailed!
Where are the workshops held? In the UK? It would be a dream to attend one but I'm guessing they are in the US?

Aw, They are in the US, but I wouldn't be surprised in she had some classes in the UK as she lives there?

Oh very graceful! I love the slave bracelet Victoria! Good job on the wings too. I like them this way, not so distracting. Im gearing up to try a larger one myslef, but I think will keep it a bust at least till I get use to it.
Wendy has a new how to dvd I saw. Theres alos a new skull sculpting dvd I was thinking about.

Thanks N! That bracelet was a pain in the arse, lemme tell you! snicker. Oh, I didn't know she had another dvd out, I'll have to go check it out. I was going to take her advanced class next month in Reno, but I'm not sure if I can...too expensive right now. Doing larger is fun, it's nice not to have to limit yourself to the Ebay "tiny" standards. Yeah, you mentioned the skull dvd, I'll have to look to see what you're talking about....weeee!

well its done now and beautiful! haha Ive tried to make tiny jewelry and its such a piddley fussy thing. On a larger sculpt though alot of possibilty can open up!

Im terrible with the DVDs as soon as I find a new one I want it. Then I spend months talking myself out of it. Yeah she has a new character one. So , now theres the Brown dvds with the femm fatale and I think well I hardly need help with that, but then well maybe it will help with fine tuning my weaker points, then I wonder if skull detail will really be nessisary. Those things add up quick .

I joined the etsy team "art dolls only". Are you there? do you want to be invited? Suposedly they are going to have ways of promoting us as a group. But you can never tell some of those groups decay really quick.

Brown dvds? Man, I've been out of it, haven't I? I need to check these out. I am on Etsy, but haven't done a damn thing with it. I need to set up my store I guess. Gawd knows I'm not doing Ebay (yeuck!). Do I have to be invited to "art dolls only"? Well, then heck...invite me. How are our kind of things doing on Etsy? I need to take a look...

Not at all its just that Im rabid for any little thing that can improve my skilset.

my etsy store isnt fleshed out either. yes you do need to be invited. Its suposed to be focused more, but well see how it goes. If it doenst pan out Ill just leave.

I realy dont know if people are doing great on etsy. Some are selling, but not like 2k you see on ebay. This is why people are banning together. But since sales arent nessisarily your number one consideration I think etsy would be good. I had a doll sit there a few months but it did sell. Thes tyle of artists in there are diffenrt mediums and types. Its not all fairypolymer and I like that.
