Here are some rough ideas for the eve contest. Pick a few, tell me why you like them, any critique is happily accepted. I have so many ideas in my head, but i probably will only end up submitting 2 or 3. So yeah. Tell me your faves and why!Also, if anybody happens to know about the game, I would really appreciate if you could maybe give me a suggestion for what race some of these would possibly belong to.

I thought about entering the contest. I was scared though, and after I saw some of the entries....I knew I wouldn't stand a chance. I love number 8, 3, and 19.

Hmm, well when I draw, i dont really have any one thing in mind. Of course I've watched countless anime, and played tons of games, so they all in their little ways, influence my design choices, but now, I'd have to say, my main inspiration, is military hardware. Like the past few mecha I've drawn on paper, have been heavily influence, by modern combat tanks, not any in particular, just my idea of what a tank looks like. You'll see some soon hopefully.

Cool, can't wait to see what come up with man. Just like you, countless hours lost to anime, games, and movies. Used to I would draw while watching tv....but I can't do that anymore. I've developed ADD or something. I just throw on some tunes and I get better results.

My advice would be to pick one of the bigger designs and put lots of detail into it ^^

A lot of cool ones, 3,7,8,15,19 - they have intersting shapes!
Also I think they look very EVEesque.

I like 15, 16 and 18
They're all kind of close to the streamlined ship, sort of like 1, but they move away from it enough for it to be individual.

Hard to tell at this size, four looks interesting but I always prefer low-tech-hi-tech. Fourteen look a bit too much like an old aircraft bomb for my tastes and twelve look spindly. Two through to five definatelt I the ones I find most interesting.
But that just my opinion for what it's worth. (diddly)

Out of these designs, I liked 9, 17 and 19 the most. I can't explain why, but they all seem to share the same basic structure don't they. Anyway, nice job

You're welcome. Fact of the matter is, I did it twice. I got to about 16 or so and somehow lost everything I'd typed in. Made the second pass easier, though

I played EVE in the free trial, to try to imagine some ship for the contest... but I didn't liked it...

Most of the first missions of EVE are being mail guy, travelling to take item A to point B
I like an MMO called Taikodom. Its free to play, and its space like EVE, but I think the graphics and missions are far better (and its free, is there something better?
Of MMO, I am playing Dungeons & Dragons Online (also free) with some friends from the DnDeviants group, and also Requiem: Memento Mori, that is a pretty violent bloody MMO (also free, and with sexier girls).
Of your ships, I like the design of the 04 (remenbers me Dead Space

I'd avoid 2, certainly the plough shaped ram, as it's VERY like Warhammer 40K ships.
