You all know I really love a LOT of Patrick Nagle's art, right?

Decided to do some doodling / study and this happened. Well, a lot of things happened and there were many happy accidents. The true "original" was in pencil and then I moved it to ProCreate to 'do it again maybe better'. Then more happy accidents and actual efforts later I got these. I couldn't decide if I liked the grey or black background better so I decided to post them both. I like the grey as it seems more 'whimsically realistic'. I like the black because it really makes everything pop. I did try many, many other background colors but none of the others I tried were dark enough, light enough, or contrasting/complimentary enough to make the linework crisply visible.
