So as promised I've updated the unicorn image with its partner image. And instead of posting two images I combined them. Worked better anyway.

Technically, here's what I did. The old version was made in OC 1.1, I redid the lineart for Apollos/Lucius (I don't know they look so similar they might as well be the same character.) and repainted it in OC 4.5 (My 4.6 is on my other computer. ) Then I did the same thing with the girl I'll have to name her by end of this commentary. Hmm...Willow is good...we'll call her that for now. Now to explain the story behind the image. It's been going through my head lately.

From the same unwritten universe as Iggy and Ferris we have the two "slave" races of Brinds. Apollos is an Albabrind or White Unicorn. They have amazing healing powers and their dances can either bring blessings or a curse. (Watch out for dancing! ) Every Albabrind can perform one miracle in their lifetime.
So why a slave? Well, wealthy rulers liked to keep stores of Albabrinds to extend their rule. However, the miracle can only be performed by a virgin Albabrind. So generally, once born Albabrinds are often shut away until needed so they can't dilute the potency of their miracle. They are kept as court dancers too...and can curse/bless foes or friends.

Willow is a Sanguibrind or a Blood Brind. Their beast form is not quite as elegant as the other unicorn races. It's more carnivorous and fierce. They have power over blood, meaning they can heal devastating physical wounds on their own bodies and some for others. They also have a unique ability to become surrogate mothers (both male and female, although male surrogate births usually have unwanted outcomes.)
So they're kept by mistresses and royalty to carry unwanted children. The ritual can be performed at almost any stage of pregnancy, but usually it is performed as soon as possible.
The Sanguibrind horn is used to make a blood bond by slicing it's own belly and the true mothers. It is a delicate process so it has to be done with some amount of care if the child and Sanguibrind is to survive.
Before this discovery was made, Sanguibrinds were feared and rejected because of their ferocity. Slave Sanguibrinds have their teeth and claws removed at an early age which makes them much more docile.

So now, these two...Apollos is a runaway and so was Willow. Apollos stumbled upon her in hiding and fell head over heels for her...because she was a maid. However, his excitement causes them both to be discovered and Willow is forced into the blood bond ritual against her will. The ritual was done shoddy because the true mother did not care to keep either slave or child. (She was a princess about to be married and needed to get rid of some extra baggage.)

Willow lays dying in a dungeon. Apollos with the help of a nosy priest, escapes again and uses his one miracle to save Willow. Now Apollos is tainted and Willow is still pregnant with an unwanted prince. :3 The priest shelters them for awhile but they have to stay on the run. Apollos remains infatuated with Willow, but because of his miracle, Willow's fangs and claws grow back and she becomes more ferocious. She is finding it difficult to return his feelings...because she finds him somewhat annoying.

That's as far as I've gotten with it. I might tuck this away for a story idea later. :3 But I've got to finish it in my head first.
