hum I looked at all 33 entries for the contest and I believe you are at least among the top 3 on what concerns photography ( I was to lazy to read the written entries so far ) ! definitly you chose really only few colors, it's almost black and white which makes it calm in opposition to screaming colors. Then it's rather minimalistic, your concept of silence seems to come along with the idea of hiding and being in the shadow which is coherent to me
