This is a really nice photo I think-I'm not a photographer or anything but I think I'd say that one thing that throws off the nice composition and interesting subject is the background behind your (?) hand-it's soft but it has a strange cut off line near the right and sort of looks like it could be part of your body, or part of the couch and so is a bit confusing to the eye and instead of just looking at it and being engrossed in the cute kitten which is supposed to be the focus, unless I'm totally crazy, I'm left looking at the background behind your hand and wondering what it is. I think it is probably because the colour looks flesh like and the other characteristics I mentioned above. All and all though I love the kittens expression like it's frightened but being a bit playful and about to bite you-and the colours are wonderful despite my eye being a bit confused.

LOL! To be honest, when I first saw this in the thumbnail, the arm looked like a finger. I was thinking, "Wow! Now that's a teeny cat!"
It was only after I saw the larger image that I realized it was a hand. I think the way the light hits the background combined with the arm is what produced the illusion.
