In doing so, one is able to create something new, original, valuable. Is forced creativity true creativity?"This was supposed to be for an English IOP and then it turned into Notepad

there's too much green in this painting.
and yes the eyes are purposely deformed and darkened this time; I see the notepad representing a person who is disillusioned and forces their own views upon others, but is pretty ignorant on the fact. There are so many who cannot distinguish their own opinion from true fact. Therefore, their visions are tainted and distorted, just like this characters'.

Ah, that's okay; the concept is kind of difficult to express, and something you kind of have to explain. It's my take on what the DHMIS video is about.

noTEPAD HOW ARE YOU, YOU DON'T LOOK SO SANE OR HEALTHY
he looks really cool ;A; I mean, the watercolor on his head just looks so wasted, like what he's done to the other DHMIS characters. He creeped me out the most because it was so subtle and nice at first and then he turned all "YES KEEP GOING, KEEP BEING CREATIVE".
and the fact that he has this almost childish look on him. it reminds me about how children can be so cruel and bad without knowing it. how they can rip the wings off butterflies and insult others because they don't think like them, without knowing that it hurts others.
It makes me think that Notepad is mindlessly cruel and manipulative.

Yes, but omg that is true yo; just a regular childrens' TV show character and then suddently ...
I think that's another thing the show can be about; children can get away with doing such destructive things, or leading up to potentially destructive things because they don't know it. But for example, when they grow older (as they do in the video), seemingly innocent things they do as a child appear wrong/demented/etc.
Or shows the true nature of what they were doing.

Yes, yes, I think so too. The show could be about how children evolve into adults and how we forget that, and now we end up realizing how horrible children can be and were. It could also be like how when you grow up and "keep being creative", the creativity turns dark and morbid, makes serial killers and demented people more demented to our eyes.Β
Analyzing DHMIS is so fun, and we can really come up with many parables!
