You should try reading it too!!! BUt warning, the manga is TOTALLY Different from the anime ok x3

Ok you know that each of their names comes from a pOkemon Game ok?
so In japan the original games release were Red and Green so it was said that Green was Red rival and later they release the blue one which is the one that was sold to the world (Red and Blue meaning for the rest of the world that BLue was Red's rival)
That's why that in the original versions Green is a boy and in the other version in the world Green is the girl :3
