I like it. I've always been curious to try C4D. How intuitive is it? Is there a steep learning curve like others?

Yes, there is a steep learning curve comparable to other programs such as 3dsmax or Blender, but what makes C4D more intuitive and allows for a faster workflow is the simple and yet very powerful user interface.
Something that is also of importance to me is the seemless integration of c4d project files into the Adobe product line, specifically After Effects via Cineware... powerful stuff!

I think there is a free version called "Cinema4D Lite", give that a try first.

I will! Thanks for the info, Bjorn. I'm downloading it now. But I just remembered why I didn't pursue it before -- sticker shock on the full program.
