Description "Can toa Gali reach the greatest depths she's ever faced to reach Akida and learn just how mighty the sea can be?"

The second redesigned creature to follow Uxar, Lord of the Forest. I'm thinking I'll make this a series, where I reimagine each G2 creature into more respectable masters of elements. Rather than taming them, each toa must find a way to gain the respect of the mighty creatures so that they earn their right to learn deeper secrets of their elemental powers.

My minor self-implemented rules are that I'll reuse some elements from the original sets, but most importantly the head. Each time I'll try to come up with a different head design using the creature headpiece so that the creatures look individual, but remain recognizable.

I have ideas for Ikir and Ketar at the moment, but we'll see what I'll do with Terak and Melum.

i have two questions, 1) can you make more of these elemental creatures? 2) and can you (show or send) a picture of Akida's back, because he/she have those silver orange mask spike things, and it looks good on it

1. I intend to. Haven't started working on them yet, but I've been preparing ideas for Ikir and Ketar. As for completed ones, I've already made Uxar:

2. If you only need to know how the spikes are attached, it's simple: attach exo-force arms on the creature mask's horn clips, the orange spikes on the arms and fold them under the mask and you get the effect on Akida's back here. The masks themselves are on balljoints placed on a technic beam with a bit of experimenting with distance and height.

Impressive! Love how you made Akida look fascinating with more fins and intimidating without gatling guns.

sweet! how many Akida sets (and other parts, if any) did you use to make this?

I utilised 4 Akida sets primarily for their fins. Other medium azure shells came from the G2 gali sets. There's a CCBS skeleton inside, some technic bits from a Super Battle Droid for their color and the rest are random pieces I've obtained through various means.

That's a great redesign! I was redesigning these 6 too - but as Toas. It's really cool to "play" with the basic design. My Version of Uxar is based on your dragon design of yours!Β

I will mention you in the description so you may have a look

Yeah, toying with the design based on the sets is part of the fun Essentially taking their basic intention to the extreme is what I pretty much go for in these redesigns to make them menacing. Ikir will be kinda obvious, something akin to a phoenix, but we'll see if I can give it a twist.

Nice to hear that, I'll check your Uxar out when it comes

I feel like it would be cool if you took off the tail and just made it a regular turtle, but that's just me. Also, did you mean to give it a plane tail? Its certainly interesting if you did.Β

At first I actually intended to have 5 tail fins spreading out (note the two fins above the others are posable), but upon flattening them I liked the consistency with the other fins, so I kept it that way. The tail is a callback to the set, just horizontal.

I was more imagining a plesiosaur/lapras looking creature while building this actually. Didn't exactly have a turtle in mind.

Ahhh i see that. The kinda shell look made me thing you meant for a sort of turtle. Thinking of it as Lapras I see it now.
