Description
The unfriendly face of the Alps.I'm more satisfied with this one than the idyllic view. I think I managed to show the climate better here.

The place is really worth visiting. I had never seen such huge valleys before I went there. The views can be stunning. If the weather had been better, I would have shot some really nice landscapes.
Still, it's pretty hard to get a decent perspective. All the places are just too huge.

Well done! Fascinating scenery and good composition. Indeed it can be rough. Thank you for sharing.

Just a further suggestion: what about also visiting my other gallery here on dA, if you do not know it already:

I didn't climb any mountain, I just reached a lake and went back to the valley

I can almost feel the biting cold and harsh wind. Great work in illustrating this feeling

I agree. The other shot is misleading in a few ways. It reminds me of Whistler's Peak in Jasper...

Sounds like a perfect place for a shooting trip.
Next year I must find some time to go somewhere alone. It's hard to concentrate on photos when you hike with a group. Always in hurry, without the chance to check out all the perspectives.

Indeed. Never take pictures in a group, though you already know that

Yeah, that too... but not for hiking and mountain shooting.
It's perfect for alligators' stomach macros though
