Rareware designed some of the most interesting characters. These two characters are very fun to play as in multiplayer, maybe simply because of the way they look between Diddy Kong's pot belly and navel sticking out of his shirt all the time or the dataDyne Shock Trooper's battle suit complete with the mask and helmet.

recommended this to me, giving me three ideas and I decided to go with this one. Of course, when it comes to bellies, my aim is cuteness. Quite frankly, both are playable characters in their own games which reflect the oddest aspects of the infamous Rareware purchase by Microsoft. For Diddy Kong, his own racing game replaced Banjo and Conker with Dixie and Tiny Kong, which is unfortunate because Diddy Kong Racing was the game of their first appearance. Likewise, the dataDyne Shock Trooper's game, Perfect Dark, had one of its cheat codes renamed to Monkey Mode, which is also unfortunate because Donkey Kong Mode was probably meant by Rareware to celebrate another of its greatest successes with Nintendo.

Want another contrast? While Diddy Kong is officially a Mario character as he appears in many Mario spinoffs, the Shock Trooper, to me, is a perfect resemblance of Microsoft's most iconic franchise, Halo. That pistol that he is pointing at Diddy Kong's belly button is called the M6D Personal Defense Weapons System, the overpowered pistol from Halo CE.
