So there has been alot of fuss over this photo looking very similar to the cover of the Twilight book. I'd like to take this time out to state that the similarities between the two happen to be completely unintentional & very unfortunate. I did not realize how alike the two were til after I posted it on another site some months ago. So now that you know that I am aware of how similar the two look you can all stop bringing it up please.
The inspiration did not come from Twilight at all, in fact I am not even remotely close to being a fan of stalkerish sparkly vegetarian vampires. I got the idea to do this last year after a friend sent me a link to Gnarls Barkley's video for "Who's Gonna Save My Soul". I had intended to originally do several photographs using hearts but this was the only one I ever got around to doing.
By the way, for all those wondering: Its a pig's heart.

Oddly...It makes me humgry, and nostalgic...Had that feeling once, make a follow up with it being shattered, and you completed a painful love circle. I think many will be able to shair the feeling this photo represents...

It's kind of saddening all some people can see when they look at this is Twilight.
I love the blood on the hands. Much more effective of an image then if they were clean.

Agreed, but Twilight's cover has been etched into everyone in Americas' mind for a few years now. And everyone can relate the cover of twilight, with the colors and hand position, to this photo. No matter how terrible of a book it was.

Shocking as it my seem, this photo is not at all based on the Twilight book's cover. I did not even notice the similarities between the two until I posted it on another site. Its an unfortunate coincidence but the elements of the cover are highly common. I was upset about it at first & almost retook the photo with a white background to try to cut out some similarities but in the end decided against it because I thought this came out fairly well. I generally don't associated with many Twilight fans so up until now the comments about it have actually been few & far between.

Stephenie Meyer even said she didn't think she was a good writer. She just wanted to write her story, she didn't think it would become popular or be considered good. Most of her followers are horny teenage girls or lonely housewives anyway.

Ahh! I remember those experiments.
I remember this one time, in winter and it was snowing outside ,the whole class were given hearts to disect. Some of the boys snuck the hearts out of class and hid them in snowballs and began to throw them at people. That was a fun winter!

meh, not that great, I dissected a fish, 3 frogs, a giant grasshopper, and a worm *no joke*. Not all that great in hindsight. The worst part is you are surrounded by wimps who cannot handle it, and make you do all the work cause they are too 'squeamish'

You can sometimes tell the male and female apart cause some females were laden with eggs. It was gross, you slice the abdomen, and they like EXPLODED out of them. Too nasty
