Remember the one time Dracula was a furry? 80s cartoons remember. XD But yeah, this screencap comes from an old episode of "Defenders of The Earth" called "Dracula's Potion". For those of you who don't know what Defenders was, imagine Justice League/Avengers, but featuring superheroes that only your grandparents would remember. Okay, that isn't exactly fair, since Phantom and Flash Gordon was fairly well-known. But does anyone remember Mandrake or Lothor? I don' think so!Anywho, this was a rather fun episode from late in the show's run. This was the obligatory "Dracula shows up" episode, which almost every 80s cartoon had to have. Why? Well, because Dracula is public domain! He's also a character most people recognize, so shoving him into an ep is good for brand recognition. Of course, this being an 80s show, you can't have Dracula draining people of their blood. So, instead he turns them into animals and then mind-controls them. Yes, that's his big evil plan: To turn the Defenders into animals and have them do his bidding. It's a dumb place, since they would need thumbs to properly be your henchmen/servants. My theory is that Dracula was secretly a furry, and he just wanted to turn the world into one big anthrocon.
Keep in mind that the show takes place in a fictional version of 2015. Had Dracula showed up in our real world in 2015 and started turning people into animals, then furries would worship him as some kind of god. XD I imagine he could sell those bottles of TF potions in the real world, and just turn people into anthro animals using them. It'd be cheaper than a fursuit, that's for sure! Something I forgot to mention is that the Defenders also had their kids which they brought with them... On their dangerous mission to Dracula's castle. In fact, they're brought on every dangerous mission the heroes go on. But yeah, since the kids are here THEY ALSO GET TRANSFORMED! My favorite is the kid who gets turned into a monkey, and then laments that he has to go back to human form at the end. You and me both, kid, you and me both. :C
Regardless, this was a somewhat fun episode. If you can get past the fact that Dracula has to possess a human host and turns people into animals, then I think this is the episode for you. It has some enjoyable moments, but don't go in expecting a groundbreaking TF episode. This was the 80s after all, before shapeshifting in media was taken more seriously. This is basically your silly TF episode with silly animal puns and tons of fun.

That's one way to get rid of your enemies: Turn them into mind-controlled wolves. And then maybe make them anthro. XD

Yep, Romanian vampires were heavily associated with wolves and Dracula turned into one in the original book. Calling him a furry is a bit of a stretch but it's not completely out of left field.

Ah, so the wolves thing was in the books? Well, at least they were somewhat true to one aspet of Dracula.
