Time for us to travel back in time to the 80s! Back in the late 80s, we were graced with "Count Duckula". Duckula was a spinoff of the ever-popular "Danger Mouse" cartoon which started airing long before this. I grew up in 91, so sadly I was never graced with these amazing shows. I have been watching more in recent years and I gotta say they're both good. Even the remake of Danger Mouse is pretty sweet! However, this shot it not from the cartoon, but rather the obscure Marvel comics run of Duckula. You see, despite Danger Mouse and Duckula being in the same universe, they never had a legit crossover. This is especially weird, because a previous incarnation of Duckula appeared on Danger Mouse as a villain. Heck, he's even a villain on the new Danger Mouse show! He died offscreen and was resurrected as a vegetarian through an ancient ritual. Despite the world never getting a proper animated crossover between both shows, there was a comic book that did this! That brings us to "Count Duckula Vol. 1 #4".
The plot is that Penfold is captured by Greenback and his henchmen who plan to spook him using a vampire. Said vampire is Duckula! It's up to Danger Mouse to go ALLLLLL the way to Transylvania and save him. Who does he bump into while in Transylvania? Why, Duckula, Igor, and Nanny of course! Meanwhile, Goosewing is leading Greenback all over the place because Goosewing thinks Greenback is a "rival vampire hunter". Yes, Goosewing is super dumb and no villain should ever team up with him.
Anywho, our heroes easily save Penfold, defeat Greenback, and return to their own individual adventures. Honestly, this is a pretty fun crossover the time. It's nothing special, but it's cute. It's nice seeing the two shows interact and it was pretty cool seeing Duckula befriending Danger Mouse, despite them being arch-enemies in two different continuities.
My main complaint is that the comic ignores Duckula's appearances in the Danger Mouse cartoon, since neither of them have met before. Other than the continuity snarls, it's a pretty solid crossover. However, something I find unforgivable is that there was a message at the end that said "If you want more Danger Mouse and Duckula team-ups, you have to write in for them!" A second crossover was never made though! So, either nobody wrote in or the series got cancelled before they could do another. Regardless, it's a shame! I hope when Duckula inevitably gets his own reboot show they rectify this!

Hey, Darkwing Duck didn't even get its reboot yet and Ducktales threw in a crossover anyway.

Darkwing Duck’s original creator, Tad Stones, once clarified that the universes of Ducktales and Darkwing were designated to be alternate universes from each other around 1991.

Yeah true, though that's an entirely different case. Mainly cuz the two versions of Duckula that appear in the Danger Mouse shows are different than in his own cartoon. So even though the new Duckula that appears in Danger Mouse showed up after he had gotten his own show, it's still a different version with no connection to the previous series. XD
