Anybody remember Stay Tuned?! Okay, I don't even remember this movie and I basically live on obscure shit. Literally just found out about it today through this scene. Stay Tuned was a movie about couple getting sucked into TV land. Unfortunately, TV is literally the devil in this universe and if they don't survive for 24 hours, Satan gets their souls. Kind of a dark concept for such a zany premise. Regardless, there's one part of this film that I'm sure is the best part despite having not seen the full film: The cartoon sequence.

You see, the couple gets turned into cartoon mice and get chased around by a mecha cat. The whole sequence was directed by the legendary Chuck Jones, right before his death. And damn, does he bring his A-game to this obscure as hell movie. Seeing Roy and Helen (the mouse-ified couple) getting into cartoon shenanigans is fun.

The animation is good and Roy even hits on Helen as a mouse! "You look sexy, even as a mouse!" Okay, a furry wrote this. You cannot tell me otherwise! Or maybe Satan just has a cartoon TF fetish. Also, I think what makes this sequence so great is that their still in there usual attire. Gotta love mice dressed in casual 90s clothing! The whole sequence is dope and honestly, the idea of an entire film revolving around a couple stuck as cartoon mice sounds better than them simply trying to survive in TV land.

I mean, the concept of getting stuck in TV wasn't unique or new in 1992. I guess neither was turning into a cartoon character, but at least the cartoon mouse concept would've been more palatable as a full feature length film. Still, fun sequence despite its short length. Definitely tops when Fairly Oddparents did the same thing in their trapped in TV-land thing.

Also, this is not related to the game Stay Tooned, despite the near identical game and the fact it also has toon TF. Gonna cover that one too, don't worry!
