Going by "EEnE's Hanky Panky Hullabaloo", Marie seemed to have an interest in art and car parts. Double-D has shown appreciation for art in a few episodes and, of course, made vehicles from scrap, which could've been a reason for Marie's attraction to him. There's also the possibility that he may be thankful towards her and her sisters saving him and the Eds from the kids in the movie.
