Description
Here's another photo experiment from my trip to Salmon Arm, BC.This is the coast of the lake. I really liked how this one came out. For some reason the light pink hue on the clouds reminded me of cherry blossoms, and then this shot instantly became one of my favorites from the trip. Salmon Arm is one of the most beautiful places on Earth, in my opinion. If you ever have a chance, I'd recommend a visit for a day or two.

I used to make my own polaroid frames when I used to experiment and when I've made makeshift polaroids for ads and graphics at work, but I got lazy and found a PS action from *rawimage that will make the polaroid bordery thing for you. Check it out if you want to make some polaroids: [link]
I'm actually interested in nabbing a real polaroid camera. Used to play with one as a kid, loved it.

Cool, looks like a Polaroid someone got wet, then left out in the sun to dry. Nice effect, nice image.
I used to play with Polaroids as well, lots of fun. I think I still have 2 or 3 cameras lying around. Film is hard to come by, haven't seen any in awhile.

Yeah, I've only ever heard of finding it on E-bay, that's it. Too bad, its a really nice medium. I think they should keep it around just as a novelty item, or for artists.

How did you get the cool color and streaking effects? In Photoshop?
I like how it really does feel like an old Polaroid shot. But like someone said, you'll want to be careful about getting one, since I think they stopped making Polaroid film last year or the year before.

The color is all on one overlay layer, a slightly off rainbow. Same with the streaks, they're actually just a noise layer that's been dragged and blurred funny. haha.
