Nobody Nice, despite her name, is really quite protective of the Grange's other equids, when she's not fast asleep. This midnight's mist is different from the kind the Grange does see from time to time - far more invasive, far more eerie. Nice does not like it, and calls her Beaurever magic to bear.

Crumb just wants to nap without gargling humidity, and Zaranoff is a devout indoor sleeper even when he's not quite terrified of spooky scary misty malarky. Of the three fawnling stags, Thunder Watch is the most concerned and curious, but he's been firmly herded into the stall by Nobody Nice, and he's not about to challenge the horse who's three times his size and spits fire for snorts and whickers.
