Gunther is a whopping 17.2 hands, compared to Blueberry Sour 's 9.1, and Gowan 's wee bitty 2.6ft is no contest. Gowan's temper, on the other hand, is a sight to behold, and Sour has been capering across Gowan's one last nerve for four straight days, whining and whinging endlessly about having to train in an unusual early autumn heat wave.

Sour is impatient, ornery, and full of get-go. Dressage is right out, and he'll need to mellow out or be gelded or both before Bo will trust him in harness with more responsible fawnlings... so Gowan has decided to take the hot-headed stag to the races.
