Description
Took reference from this beautiful rough animation of Peter putting on his Spiderman mask right into action. There's so much power in this one, I tried to replicate that.nargyle.tumblr.com/post/156109…
All of these animations were done months ago, but I only release them now because they were part of a portfolio I submitted to apply to animation school. I was accepted! YAY!

Thank you! I'm so glad I got in, it was quite the competition in hindsight. The course is only about 10 students I think, I don't know how many of the others got accepted.

Holy crap!! That's even less than we have here( in croatia they accept 12 students for 'animation and new media'), so like double-congrats on getting in hahah

Yeah, sometimes the course can get up to 12, but the semester I did my internship in only had 6 students I think. Its really insane and makes me wonder by what criteria they sort people out.

You're on the right path then! I think its much easier to get into animation when you have great draftsmanship to begin with. That's really the foundation. When you animate you need to be able to turn objects in space, and to have a certain flow in your drawings. I mean its literally drawing motion! So yeah, you're gonna improve really well at drawing from here on, because I see that you have a genuine interest in all things that could bring you far in art, and you have started sharing your art with the rest of the world. To me that was a super important step to take back then. You want to socialize with other artists in order to learn. And once you're confident in your draftsmanship (doesnt mean you think its perfect or professional) you can start to animate. Or you can learn to animate now, that works too! I heard from other people that animation can help you become a better drawing artist aswell, because you are forced to turn objects in space and learn structure that way, so you can really reverse-engineer that idea. xD
