The title is meant to be reminiscent of the exposition scene at the start of the film, "back then, all animals were divided into two groups: vicious predator, and meek prey." Or something like that. I just like how in a way she's the vicious half of the two in the end :3

I agree, Bateman literally is his character. Not even exclusively because his voice acting is superb (which it is!) but actually rather because a lot of what went into Nick's design was from observing Bateman's actual mannerisms when he delivered the lines. You just can't have that in translated versions.Β

Well it's not exactly deus ex machina in this case, more like a natural result of an awesome and dedicated studio where everyone gets to contribute to the creative process, even the voice actors.
