As I gazed upon the creature's imposing visage, I wondered at how strange my day had ended up becoming.Β I had expected many things when I woke up that morning; bland coffee for breakfast, barely catching the bus to work, my boss riding my @$$ despite me being on time.Β Heck, I even considered that going through that alley shortcut might end poorly--I'm familiar with Batman's origins, after all.Β But one thing that I never expected was stumbling upon a terrifying creature that looked like my worst nightmares made manifest... who was in the middle of warming up for karaoke night with his friends.
