I love it! Looks amazing! I'm sad the two adaptations of IT have omitted anything to do with Maturin/The Turtle and the Ritual of Chud. As much as I liked the 2017, the climax where the Losers fought Pennywise with nothing but brute force was incredibly underwhelming. Any catharsis was lost to me in the memory of this awesome psychic fight from the book, which you interpreted wonderfully. If only filmmakers had the guts to do this.

Yes, a good movie but underwhelming when you've read the book. I hope Part II deals more with the extraplanar weirdness.

Honestly, I liked the preview version better. Made it seem more cosmic and mental, not so awkwardly physical.

I have really gotta read this book. I can only imagine how trippy this is in the novel.

very awesome representation of that scene. You should do a few scenes from "Carrie", as well. The Rain of Stones scene, when she's 3 years old and her next door neighbor witnesses stones falling out of the sky onto Carrie's house, 'cause her mom is abusing her. And the Prom destruction scene, but with Carrie standing outside the gym, looking in through the window of the locked door. (since that's how it goes in the book, of course.)

Ergh.

Crianças...
Pense bem, podia ser pior. Podiam estar um mordendo a língua do outro.
Pense nisso. :c

this is sweet. this is a lot how i imagined it when i read the book which i just finished a couple days ago. the only difference is that the tongue isnt real, its just a metaphor. i think thats what it says in the book but im not sure, also the backround in my mind is more of a bluish white sort of hyperspace kind of thing.
i love this pic. great work

Yeah, I should put more white, I agree. As for the tongue, I just remember there being a tongue, nothing more specific. Oh, and he "bit" the tongue. I remember THAT gave me weird impressions.

I gotta get in the habit of remembering to leave comments on stuff I favorite...
I'm not sure in what capacity I was looking for stuff, but I remember google pulling up your original sketch for this years ago before I'd read the book. Now that I know what's going on here, it's very cool I like the nebula, star-background going on in the original, very much how I pictured the scene playing out as I read it, but the smoke-and-fire deal in this one is kickass too. It was great finally finding the finished product of this.

HEh, awesome man, thanks. Indeed, it is a kick ass scene, isn't it (in the book, I mean)?
And since you mention "years before I'd read the book"... this one did take me ages to complete. There were a couple Ace cards floating on the original sketch, but I was too lazy to finish them. So you could say this is still incomplete.

The book is my favorite book of all time. the only part that was really truthful to the book was the scene with grown up Bev. i hope the new adaptation of IT is going to be better. :/
