Coraline was one of my favorite movies back when I was eight. I watched it in theaters when it first came out and when it came on DVD my mother bought me it and I'd watch it two times a day

I know how you feel. I just bought the book, and I'm amazed by how similar it is to the movie. There are plenty of differences of course, but they're still so similar, the movie really stayed true to the book in a lot of ways. Neil Gaiman is awesome.
