- Pierce Hawthorne (Community). I read quite a bit of articles that bash the character of Pierce and quite a lot of Reddit posts on the subject and I can understand why they would hate Pierce, I actually think he wasn't that bad of a character...yeah he was a jerk most of the time but he did have a soft side from time to time and wasn't actually mean to the others all the time.
- 1989!Joker. I feel that there's too much praise given towards the Nolanverse Batman movies and especially towards Heath Ledger's Joker, and he only got nominated for an Academy Award because of his passing. Mark Hamill will always be my favourite animated Joker but my favourite live-action Joker is Jack Nicholson, I feel Nicholson's Joker is very underappreciated. Nolan's Batman movies are fine but are too dreary and gritty which I suppose works to emulate the grittier nature of some of the later comic instalments, but they tend to be a bit too dire and gruesome.
- Dawn Bellwether (Zootopia)
- 2000!Grinch.
- Megamind (Megamind). I feel that out of all the DreamWorks characters that Megamind is underrated. DreamWorks always seem to focus on Shrek, sometimes Madagascar, How To Train Your Dragon and Kung Fu Panda and while those are all franchises of theirs I love I feel that they overshadow the more underappreciated works they've done. I love Puss, Toothless and the Furious Five as much as everyone else does but I think that Megamind needs more attention.
- Mary Corleone (Godfather III). I never really got the hated people have with the third Godfather movie and the character of Mary, apart from 'she's a teenage character, she's not interesting' and 'Francis only cast his daughter in the role out of nepotism' which isn't the case because Winona Ryder was the original choice for the role before she passed and Coppola was inspired to cast his daughter in the role. Godfather 3 isn't as good as the first two movies, but it isn't terrible either. It was a little bit unfair for Sofia to get the Razzie award for Worst New Star though, then again when have the Razzies ever been fair?
- Jar Jar Binks (Star Wars). I'm probably one of the only people who likes Jar Jar, because I don't ever recall being annoyed by his antics or offended by him in anyway...I don't care if they think that Jar Jar was annoying or that he's a 'racist' stereotype especially not the latter since I don't think the Star Wars aliens in general are made to represent a certain ethnic group. I mean I didn't see any real Italian-Americans complaining about how the Hutts are portrayed as mobsters like how they complained about The Sopranos and Shark Tale. And I feel particular bad for Jar Jar because of what his actor Ahmed Best has been through, the poor guy has pretty much witnessed the backlash this character has gotten and it has effected him throughout his career. And that Jar Jar sith lord theory? I don't believe it for a second. Because I cannot see him as a sith, he is too goofy and lovable.
- Iago (Aladdin). I have read at least a few articles or reviews that say that they found Iago to be annoying...ummm...he's named a Shakespeare character who has the same traits as he does, of course he's like that but that's why he's such an entertaining character and he's got a feisty personality, and yes I do like Return Of Jafar...yes I do admit that Gilbert Gottfried isn't exactly who comes to mind when I hear someone ask who one of the greatest singers of all time is but I love Iago's songs and his jokes/quips were as funny as ever. One of the things I love about the animated series is that Iago gets to have his time in the spotlight in quite a few episodes and even has some humorous moments with Abu and Genie as well (especially with Genie). I am glad he is included in the Aladdin level of Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 but I don't know if he's in the third game. I know that he's probably not going to be in the upcoming Aladdin remake, knowing that Disney cut Mushu out of their upcoming Mulan remake...I probably think they're going to leave Iago out of the Aladdin remake as well.
- Scrappy Doo (Scooby Doo franchise). I'm not the only person out there who defends Scrappy. As much as I love the live-action Scooby Doo movie it was making Scrappy the villain of the piece that was the problem (that and wasting Rowan Atkinson), in fact that's why Tim Curry turned down the role of Mondavarious, because he's a fan of Scrappy as well. . In addition to this, with Scrappy he actually is more competent and a lot more courageous than his uncle.
- Ferbus (Masked Rider)
- Captain Hook (Peter Pan Live).
- Flabber (Beetleborgs/Beetleborgs Metallix). I know some think that the comic relief monsters who live at Hillhurst were annoying, but I really do love them and I think Flabber is a good character.
- Trubbish/Garbodor (Pokémon). Yeah, this Pokémon looks like garbage but that's because they are based around that.
- Adam/The Monster (Mary Shelley's Frankenstein). I've seen at least a few sites who think that Robert De Niro wasn't a good choice for this role, I beg to differ...De Niro was wonderful and I think his version of the monster was unique because he gained the memories of people he was made out of and he was very tragic as well.
- 1995!Judge Dredd. I've heard a lot of people saying that Stallone can't act...oh really...if Stallone can't act how come he's got an Oscar for the first Rocky movie? Stallone had the right look for the character of Dredd, the issue that most fans with the movie is Dredd removing his helmet or Rob Schneider. The latter is perfectly understandable, but the former...I don't know, I think they've seen Dredd without his helmet before. While I do applaud the 2012 one for being a better adaptation of the source material, I do have a soft spot for this version of Dredd.
- King Sombra (MLP: Friendship Is Magic). 'Sombra looks like an OC' 'He doesn't do anything' are some if not many of the issues fans had with this character, I don't think Sombra needs to say or do anything in order to prove his worth as a villain because I found him to be fascinating since he has kind of a Boogieman/Freddy Krueger vibe.
- Oswald Cobblepot/Penguin (Batman Returns).
