Description Kanto:
- Drowzee and Hypno.  I never got why Hypno is always portrayed as being creepy,  I blame that Creepypasta 'Hypno's Lullaby',  but still...I love that this Pokemon is based on a mythical being that resembles a tapir and that it eats dreams, i'm fascinated with the concept of dreams in general hence why some of my stories are based on dreams.   And Drowzee is definitely my favorite psychic type.
-  The Squirtle family.  Some people pick grass, some people pick fire types but me...i'm a water-boy,  I pick water everytime.  And it all began with Squirtle and the Squirtle family in general.  Water types are amazing and I love Wartortle so much,  and I love Blastoise most of all.
- Ponyta/Rapidash. 'I AM THE GOD OF HELLFIRE AND I BRING YOU....FIRE! Fire,  I'll take you to burn! Fire, i'll take you to learn.'  Ponyta is adorable and awesome plus well..it's a fiery demon horse just like the Nightmare  -  the Nightmare is a mythical demonic horse with a mane and tail of flames and the mare part of its name comes from a creature called Mare which is a goblin-like creature that gives people nightmares by sitting or standing on heir chest.  But still..Ponyta and Rapidash are awesome.
- Snorlax.  Some people use this Pokemon's name as an insult to overweight people but I don't,  Snorlax is a very lovable and cuddly Pokemon that would make a great sleeping buddy for someone who likes to get extra cozy when they go to sleep.
- Pikachu.  Pikachu is the freaking mascot for Pokemon..why wouldn't I include this one?  Plus,  well...Cosplay Pikachu is just oh so precious.
- Chansey.  It's a Pokemon that teaches you all about nursing and parenting,  and I think that is wonderful.
- The Clefairy family.  Clefairy is the original fairy Pokemon and well...being into mysticism and magic helps me love this one just a little bit more because of the whole connection to the moon and stars.  Heck,  Clefairy was supposed to be the mascot Pokemon before it became Pikachu.  Plus aaaaw...Clefable is just so pretty.   I honestly do prefer Clefairy to Jigglypuff since well I have not forgiven her for creeping me out in the anime.
- Gengar.  If you know me well,  you'd know that I am obsessed with paranormal,  supernatural and horror in general and I have believed in ghosts for quite a long time.  Ghost type Pokemon are fascinating because while they are creepy, they have tragic backstories according to their Pokedex entries.   Gengar is the mischief making shadow Pokemon that can pose as other people's and other Pokemon's shadows,  in a way this one reminds me of the Evil Jay skit on the Tonight Show With Jay Leno where Jay turns into an evil version of himself known as 'Evil Jay' on nights of the full moon and plays pranks on people,  and also the creepypasta theory about them being Clefable's shadow...that actually is a pretty interesting one and reminds me of the movie Dead Ringers which has Jeremy Irons playing twins.
- Mr Mime.  I don't get it,  why do some people get creeped out by this one again?  I get that it's clownish and everything and of course there are people that do suffer from a fear of clowns mainly because of the 1990 It mini-series and Tim Curry as Pennywise,  but still...Mr Mime is just so funny,  especially in the anime.
- Persian.  I can't help it really,  I love cats of all types including domestic and wild cats and especially feline characters and feline Pokemon. Meowth and Persian in particular,  considering the former is based on the Beckoning Cat which is a Japanese cat statue.
- Machoke.

Johto:
- Noctowl.
- Teddiursa.  It's an adorable teddy bear..what more could you want?  Also when it becomes Ursaring it takes a few lessons in badass.
- Wooper/Quagsire.  The first Pokemon from Johto I obsessed the most over,  mainly because of the Japanese name 'Upa'.  It's based on an axolotl (one of my favorite animals and also my dream pet,  also an axolotl was the inspiration for the Night Fury in How To Train Your Dragon,  in particular Toothless).  Quagsire obsessively collecting round things was adorable as well.
- Miltank.  Aka that one cow Pokemon that gave you hell when she used roll-out on your best Pokemon in a battle with Whitney,  this Pokemon is definitely unique since it introduced the aspect of their being a female exclusive Pokemon species.
- Ledyba/Ledian.  My two favorite Pokemon types are water and bug....the latter is because i'm obsessed with bugs,  in particular ladybugs. True, there is a bit of a dark and morbid side to actual ladybugs (what with the cannibalism and everything) but that doesn't stop me from loving them. Ledyba and Ledian are just so adorable to look at and Ledian has a superhero look to it that reminds me a bit of Power Rangers, Beetleborgs and Masked Rider (heck,  Heracross is like that too, reminding me a lot of Drew as the Blue Stinger Beetleborg).
- Houndour and Houndoom.  The concept of hell and the underworld in general has been a fascinating aspect in many mythos,  and also Houndoom and Houndour are inspired by the mythical demon dog Cerberus who guards the underworld in Greek mythology.
- Smeargle.  Hey guys look,  it's me!  No really, Smeargle is my character's Were-Pokemon form in the Were-Pokemon alliance saga. I love this Pokemon because it's such a fascinating and creative one because of the ability to use its tail to paint pictures.
- Dellibird.  It's a Penguin that is styled after Santa Claus.
- Entei.
- Donphan.
- Mareep.  Sheep are just so precious and adorable (unless of course they're the evil zombie sheep from the horror movie Black Sheep, which I heavily recommend watching because it is a New Zealand horror film with excellent special effects and a great American Werewolf In London influence) and this Pokemon is no exception.   For one thing it's an electric sheep,  it's name comes from the nursery rhyme 'Mary Had A Little Lamb' and also those sci fi fans out there will definitely notice that the fact it is an electric type and a sheep is a nod to the novel 'Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep'? by Phillip K.Dick,  which got adapted into the epic sci fi film Blade Runner.

Hoenn:
- Gardevoir.
- The Mudkip family..in particular Swampert.
- Duskull.  The concept of death and the afterlife have fascinated us for centuries and there have been numerous stories and takes on the concept including what would happen if you defeated the Grim Reaper...like for example in Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey and also it's the plot of the Grim Adventures Of Billy and Mandy, the fact that Duskull is based on the Grim Reaper itself is an amazing concept.
- Sharpedo.
- Mightyena.
- Illumise and Volbeat.
- Milotic.
- Swellow.
- Jirachi.
- Kyogre.
- Slaking.  For those who think that Oranguru is a gorilla Pokemon,  it's technically an orangutan,  this one is the gorilla.
- Shuppet and Banette.  This one is basically what would happen if Tim Burton designed a Pokemon, and I love this one because of the creepy aspects.

Sinnoh:
-The Piplup family,  in particular Empoleon because it is inspired by Napoleon Bonaparte.
- Purrugly.  It's Garfield..in Pokemon form.
- Lopunny.  Everybody loves this one,  and also the fact it is based on an actual type of animal-person that exists in Japanese culture and also a Playboy bunny,  and also interestingly like Machoke this one can be a male or female,  so there is such a thing as a guy version of this Pokemon.
- Combee.
- Carnivine.
- Bibabarel.
- Lucario.
- Darkrai.
- Drifloom.
- Staravia.

Unova:
- Gothitelle.
- Durant.
- Beheyeem.
-  The elemental genie trio.
-  Emolga.
-  Mandibuzz.  An awesome female exclusive Pokemon that is the female counterpart to Braviary,  I dig the apron and the bones it wears and also the fact it reminds me of the Skeksis from Jim Henson's masterpiece the Dark Crystal.
- Simipour.  The concept of all three of the elemental monkeys is based on the three wise monkeys (the see no evil monkey,  the speak no evil monkey, and the hear no evil monkey) and it's a really cool and fascinating concept.
- Lillipup.
-  Chandelure.   This Pokemon is ingenious in terms of the overall concept,  and the whole 'energy vampire' aspect comes into play as well.  Quite a few poison or ghost type Pokemon have that kind of vibe to them and this is one of them.
- Purrloin and Liepard.  Once again leave it to a cat to steal my heart on here.  I love the design of this one,  because the purple coloration on its face and on its torso definitely reminds me a lot of Selina Kyle/Catwoman,  especially since the character has been seen wearing a purple outfit quite a few times,  the purple coloration on the body reminds me very much of a catsuit (which is also kind of like that with Salazzle as well).
- Zebstrika.  It's a zebra,  and I dig the look of this Pokemon because it has a Grace Jones vibe to it.
- Confagrigus.  It's not only a mummy Pokemon but also one with a heavy zombie influence.
- Garbodor and Trubbish.  I don't get the hate for this one,  is it because it looks like trash?  Well that's because it is based on garbage, silly.  It's basically the anti-Totoro and also what would happen if Troma had their go at making a Pokemon.  Troma of course being the company behind such films as Sgt Kabuki-Man, Tromeo and Juliet, Poultrygeist:  Night Of The Chicken Dead,  The Toxic Avenger series,  and Rabid Grannies among others so this Pokemon would totally be something Charlie Kaufman himself would create.
- Swanna.

Kalos:
- Greninja.
- Pangoro.  At last, an actual Panda Pokemon!
- Noivern. It's a vampire bat Pokemon,  if you know me..I LOVE vampires,  the cool kind that is,  not those sissy sparkly wannabes from the Twilight movies or those wussies from Being Human or True Blood but actual vampires,  like as in Underworld,  From Dusk Till Dawn,  Blade,  Blade II,  Bram Stoker's Dracula, The Lost Boys,  Fright Night (1985 version),  Lifeforce,  Bordello Of Blood and Vampire In Brooklyn.
- Dedenne.  I know everyone refers to Pikachu and the others as electric mice but here's the thing...Pikachu is based off a creature called a Pika which is a rabbit-like creature,  Raichu is a kangaroo rat inspired Pokemon,  Emolga is a flying squirel based Pokemon and Minum and Plusle are based off squirrels.   Dedenne is an ACTUAL electric mouse Pokemon because it is based on a mouse.
- Aromatisse.  The concept of this one isn't just fascinating but also has a purpose since it is based on plague doctors.
- Hawlucha.
- Pyroar.
- Phantump.
- Skrelp. It's based off the weedy sea-dragon which is a species of sea creature that is very much like the seahorse.  Making it the second Pokemon based off the seahorse next to the Horsea family.
- Malamar.  A vampire squid Pokemon,  no really..this one is based on a creature called a Vampire Squid.  Which is awesome,  reminds me of the spaceship from the film Lifeforce as well.

Alola:
- Salazzle. Like with Zebstrika,  this one reminds me a little bit of Grace Jones,  especially since Jones is the singing voice of Mesina in Freddie as FR07.
- The Popplio family.  I was going to have it be the Litten family but well..as badass as Incineroar is,  the problem is there is a fairly slim chance of Incineroars being female which to me is a big problem considering well...if Incineroar is indeed based on a wrestler shouldn't there be females of this species as well?  After all,  there are female wrestlers.   But as it stands,  I am going with Popplio's family because even though people made fun of Popplio for being clownish in appearance,  I find it to be adorable and of course the fabulous Primarina,  which definitely has a mermaid influence going on, especially with that tail.   And I don't blame them really especially seeing that well...mermaids have enchanted people for centuries and Disney has certainly acknowledged that with Splash (which was released under their Touchstone company),  The Little Mermaid,  The Thirteenth Year,  H20: Just Add Water and even the Pirates Of The Caribbean franchise.
- Komala. Eeeeeee!  Must have...adorable marsupial Pokemon.  Do you know how long i've been waiting for them to finally make a Koala Pokemon? Ever since generation 4.  I like the pseudo tragic story behind it as well,  it lives sleeping and it dies in its sleep as well,  and well...I like the log pillow being like a teddy bear it snuggles up with.  And since there is going to be an episode of the Sun and Moon anime with Jigglypuff running into this one, I can't wait to see the two interact and I bet that she's going to have a hard time putting Komala to sleep because they are already sleeping.  Looks like Snorlax has just found himself a sleeping buddy.
- Mudbray and Mudsdale.
-  Mimikyu.
- Oranguru.
- Lycanroc.  Especially Midnight Lycanroc,  because well it's based on a werewolf.  Which makes it perfect for a team based on the Universal Monsters,  you have this one as The Wolf Man,  Noivern as Dracula, Confagfrigus as the Mummy and maybe Swampert as Gill-Man,  all it needs is a Pokemon inspired by Frankenstein's Monster and maybe one inspired by the Invisible Man and you'd have the Universal Monsters as Pokemon.
- Drampa.
- Palossand and Sandygast.  Given that Attack Of The Killer Whatever is a very common horror/sci fi trope,  I wouldn't be surprised if this Pokemon got its own horror movie.  It's basically a killer sandcastle, and it reminds me a lot of Drag Me To Hell and Monster House because of that which makes it a very fascinating species indeed.  I'm not the only one that thinks this Pokemon has potential to be a horror villain either.   I can easily see this one hanging out with Jason,  Michael Myers, Chucky,  Pinhead and the rest of the iconic pantheon of horror movie characters.
-  WishiWashi.   This Pokemon concept is fantastic,  it teaches you all about team-work and how two-heads are better than one.
-  Yungoos and Gumshoos.  I feel bad for these two...why?  Because of the Trump jokes.  These two don't deserve to be compared to him,  because clearly they're much better than that. Especially Gumshoos,  Gumshoos is pretty much on the side of the law (in the Sun and Moon anime Officer Jenny even has one) and is a detective.  Which makes a lot of sense since that is what Gumshoos is inspired by and modeled after.

The Type: Null line is partially inspired by Frankenstein's monster.
