Alternate Names: Bigfoot, Albotritch, Albatwitch, Skunk Ape, Woods Ape, Woods Devil,
Latin Name: Homo Sapiens cognatus, Gigantopithecus blacki

Like the Jackalope, this Fearsome Critter has managed to gain traction among the Cryptid community, and is probably the most well known of all Critters or cryptids! Sightings and hoaxes surrounding it are still somewhat common, even now, and interest remains fairly high, as does public recognition. The Sasquatch is known by many names and has variants all over the world, but most have a common theme of being described as 'wild man', with an ape-like body shape, large feet, and longer hair that covers the body. Some stink, some are darker, some lighter, some are more like gorillas and some like orangutans. A few have been spotted supposedly numerous times, identified by a unique individual characteristic (these are known as "marked" hominids). Mostly, this animal is seen as a shy and more prone to flee than fight, although some native stories name them as cannibals and prone to attack and kill humans.
