MOJO MOO INK CONSOLIDATES MOJO INK AND MOJO TONE
UPDATE: These presets are for Krita 4, but if you do want these old brushes, they are now mirrored on Google Drive .
Free to use for personal and commercial projects. My motivation is for everyone to have a shot at greatness.
49 screentone shades plus black for creating the classic halftone look of manga masterpieces.
The halftone is not decorative fru fru, but solid black and ready for print. Each shade interlocks seamlessly. Each tone when set to *erase mode* erases itself and lighter tones. Seamless interaction unless offset. Use at 300dpi for best results.
Works with Zipper, an all-in-one screentone brush for Krita Ink.
Free to use for personal and commercial projects. If you find these brushes useful and profitable, consider supporting my work via Paypal .
Be sure to also get:
* Mojo Paint
* Mojo Tools
* Mojo Ink

The zipper brush lets you do variable weight with the pattern, while these are flat weight; but they should still overlay each other proper. So for instance, you can use one of these flat tones to paint a large area, then switch to the zipper brush to sort of shade it at an edge.

I struggle with using these. When selecting a halftone brush, i cant select any other halftone brushes anymore until i Restart Krita. Any suggestions?

I don't understand. You can't switch brushes after selecting one of these?
Keep in mind that the change in each one from neighbor to neighbor is incredibly subtle, by mere pixels. These are not meant for the fastest work flow. You might want to try the Zipper brush in Mojo Ink instead; it's this entire range but built into one brush.
If it's a technical problem, and you literally can't select another brush, then maybe your download of the file was corrupted somehow. Try deleting it and getting it again, maybe. I just can't think of anything else just now.Β Β

Howdy! It's around the upper right hand corner of the page here. Look for the wide button with a green down arrow on it.

Fantastic. Did you make this to emulate the tones Watamote regularly uses?

Not specifically, and I imagine that since they work on paper they buy the standard sheets that many other artists use. I have been occasionally resizing manga and other comics at 300dpi to try to get some general sizing correct, but the exact sizing here relates to designing it to interlock properly. It might be useful to have sets at different sizes, but it's a lot of work so if I would need a consensus for what other size is needed--slightly larger, double the resolution for 600dpi, etc. I'm hoping for some good feedback.
Of course, MOJO is still homage to Tomoko, and the upcoming paint set includes a few Watacolor brushes.Β Β

This seems to be nice, It might be good if we can add this to the resource page - docs.krita.org/en/resources_paβ¦

Thanks so much for these. I assume that you're permitting commercial use in sold comics?
