Still not completely happy with this picture...It's like I had to choose between the horse being focused or the swirls being focused, but not both?
Stupid camera...So! Been working on this for too long. Usually pastels don't take me very long...
This was sort of a lesson in composition and creativity. I think I like it, but at the same time I'm not sure yet. Might be giving it to my riding instructor as a gift, but I haven't decided on that yet either, hah. Hard to part with something that took this much work.
Not sure what else to say here. Kinda tired of looking at it now. xD Enjoy?

This is a very nice painting in pastel. I'm very fond of the colors. Most people would find themselves using blues. The brown almost makes this look like it was painted on leather.

Ah, thank you so much! I do usually gravitate towards the blues, especially for grey horses, but this time I wanted something with a little more "life" in it, I suppose.
